Allah likes that His creatures worship Him and pray to Him, because the worship and the prayers are the physical and practical way of declaring our faith and creed that Allah alone has created us and only He is to be worshiped.
Allah has prescribed for us the ways and acts of worship. As Allah does not burden His creatures more than they could bear, the prescribed acts of worship are the minimum one should perform.
