Encyclopedia of Islam for Children

£19.99

This reference tool, which is a humble attempt to place before the English-speaking Muslim children a number of basic Islamic teachings and concepts, is primarily aimed at children of age ten years and over and presents topics in an easy-to-use alphabetical format. It also covers a wide range of topics and features cross-references which draw attention to related subjects.
Given the fact that some of these Islamic teachings and concepts have been forgotten by many Muslims, and given the fact that some of them have been given wrong definitions or interpretations by some non-Muslims, either deliberately or out of ignorance, an effort has been made here to present these teachings and concepts in their true light and clear picture.
The definitions cover a wide range of concepts as well as some of the well-known Prophets and Messengers of Allah, may Allah’s peace be upon them all, the significance of certain important Islamic occasions, the benefits of the observance of certain practices and a short biography of the four rightly-guided caliphs who helped shape the destiny of the new faith.
Even though the present reference guide is designed specifically for Muslim children, readers and students of all ages and different faiths who wish to learn more about the world’s fastest-growing religion will certainly find it enlightening and highly informative.

My Daughters

We also mentioned that the first recorded instance of a public celebration of the mawlid occurred in Shi’ite Fatimid Egypt, around the turn of the sixth century of the hijra. Muhammad – The Special, Little Orphan: The initial years were not very easy for Muhammad (s) an orphan boy: having to stay with Haleemah, his wet-nurse, and losing his mother and grandfather at a very young age. However, their love and care were substituted with the love and care of his uncle, Aboo Talib. Aboo Taalib loved him and took care of him as his own. The poor orphan would not leave Aboo Talib’s side, even accompanying him on one of his trade expeditions to Syria. It is on this journey that we notice the signs of prophethood unfolding. Muhammad (s) meets Baheerah the monk, who immediately detects the signs of Prophethood in him.

The Miracle in the Ant

£4.49
In this book we are going to tell you about a creature that you know quite well, that you meet everywhere without actually giving it much attention, that is highly skillful, highly social and highly intelligent – “The Ant”. Our aim is to review the lives full of miracles of these minute creatures that are never of any significance in our daily lives.

Technology, collective work, military strategy, advanced communications network, an astute and rational hierarchy, discipline, perfect city planning… These are fields where human beings may not always be successful enough, but where the ants always are. When you look at these creatures, which are fully armed to defeat tough rivals and to endure the difficult conditions of nature, you may think that all of them are identical. However, each species of the ant genus – and there are thousands of them – has, in fact, different characteristics. We believe that these creatures that have the highest population in the world may open up new horizons for us within the framework of the characteristics referred to above. This book will reveal to us the special and marvelous world of ants. We shall witness the things these ant communities succeed with their tiny bodies and witness that there is absolutely no difference between their fossils, the oldest of which is about 80 million years old, and their counterparts living today, that run to approximately 8800 species.
As we explore the special world of ants, this perfect system will earn our admiration and increase the need for thinking and investigating. At the same time, we shall see the mistakes in the theory of evolution and witness Allah’s immaculate creation, which is a tremendously important work. In the Qur’an, the type of person who thinks about nature and thus recognizes the omnipotence of Allah is praised as a model for those who believe. The verses below explain this point fully:
In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding: men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the wonders of creation in the heavens and the earth, (saying): “Our Lord! You have not created all this in vain! Glory be to You! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.”(Surat Al’Imran:190-191) We hope that this book causes its readers to think more deeply on and to feel admiration for the superior power and unequaled art of creation of Allah, Who has made all things.

£12.25

This full-color ‘Words Builder’ workbook is great for children learning to read and write the English language. This new course in English is about having fun while learning a language. It makes the language easier and faster than you have ever thought possible. Elementary school is a pivotal phase wherein students see and understand the world around them. Observing, reading, understanding, writing and speaking skills are nourished and developed in this stage, which lays a concrete foundation and drives home the message that learning is for life. Anything that can be visualized as an object is much easier to remember. The visual treat in the series by way of colourful illustrations ensures the process of learning is easy and entertaining. Camel – The Ship of the Desert

£2.00

The camel is a domestic animal that has been used by man for thousands of years. Allaah created it with excellent abilities that enable it to walk for long distances over sandy desert hills where there is neither water nor vegetation, and where strong winds and dust storms are frequent. That is why it is called the “Ship of the Desert”.

Allaah, the Almighty, enjoined us in the Quran to contemplate on the creation of the camel and ponder over the Omnipotence and Greatness of Allaah in creating this marvelous animal which has amazingly to adapt itself to life in the desert. Allaah Says (which means):

“Do they not look at the camels, how they are created?” (Quran 88: 17)

The first thing that draws our attention when we look at the camel is its strong build, high stature, and the length of its neck. Yet, if we look at it more closely, we will find other wonderful and amazing characteristics.

The story of khadija by Saniyasnain Khan H/B

£9.10

One day, the Prophet Muhammad was describing Khadija’s virtue, and he pointed to the heaven and earth with his finger and stated, “Mary, mother of Jesus, is the best of the women of the heavens, and the worthiest woman still living on this earth is Khadija, daughter of Khuwaylid.”
Khadija’s life is a source of great inspiration to believers, especially women. She is an excellent example of how one can give to the cause of Islam one’s time, energy, wealth
and life.
Her story is a reminder to believers to live purposeful lives and, in our prayers, we should remember Khadija and the whole family of the Prophet for their sacrifice and dedication. It was precisely their sacrifice, dedication and hard work that made it possible for Islam to reach all the four corners of the world and allowed the Quran to be preserved in its original form.
May Allah be pleased with them all.
Once when the Prophet Muhammad was in the Cave of Hira with the angel Jibril, or Gabriel, Jibril saw from afar that Khadija was coming towards the Cave. He said to the Prophet: “Khadija is coming here. She has brought some food and water for you.”
And then he added: “When she comes in, give her the greetings from her Lord and tell her that there will be a house made of pearls for her in Paradise where there will be neither hardship nor any clamour.”
When Khadija arrived, the Prophet said to her: “Here is Jibril. He is giving greetings to you from your Lord and he himself is greeting you.”
Khadija replied: “God is peace and He is the source of all peace! May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. And my greeting to Jibril!”

Islamic Belief on Which To Raise Children

£1.50

No one can deny the importance of teaching the sound Islamic belief and Noble Qur`an to children during the early stages of their upbringing.
It is a fatal mistake that a person may pass to the stage of adulthood and grow old while he learned nothing about Islamic belief and the Noble Qur`an.
Therefore, a child should take advantage of his childhood and learn the sound Islamic belief and memorize the Qur`an.
Thus, this small book contains a presentation of the sound Islamic belief as well as chapters about jurisprudential issues so as to teach them to the children. It also aims to inculcate such belief in their hearts from the time they are young. Actually, It is easy for children to understand

The Young Muslim Series 2

£2.99

Here is a new series of books with a difference, for it is geared to children of pre-school and primary levels. While endeavoring to teach the basics of Islam, it is most important that a book holds the child’s attention, arousing his curiosity and interest. This series aims at imparting Islamic information to children in an enjoyable manner suitable to their age levels. The language, style, illustration and arrangement of each book is geared to this goal.

At the same time, we have included an aid for teachers – a standardized transliteration system for Arabic words with a chat for reference at the beginning of each book. This will help the teacher who has mastered the pronunciation of Arabic letters to impart it to children even while using the English medium.

Beginning with Book Two, Arabic script will be gradually introduced. Thus, at an age when learning is easiest for him, the Muslim child will acquire a foundation for reading and (it is hoped) eventually the understanding of the Quran.

May Allah, the Almighty, be out guide, and may He accept and bless our humble contribution to the urgent and gigantic task of producing Islamic material for a new generation of people – a task which we have undertaken in all humility and hope.

Tell Me About the Creation

£3.49

The intention of this book is to enable us to see the Miracle of Creation in things we often encounter in the world around us, but to which we give no special thought. Throughout our entire lives, most of us think about our own materialistic needs and lead a life far removed from God, thus failing to see the evidence of God’s existence. For interested readers, this book will open up new horizons on the wonder of God’s Creation. Perusal and understanding this book will be important steps in arriving at an understanding of the Creator.

Though innumerable theories have been put forward concerning the evolution of life on earth, the fact that none of them have stood up to scientific scrutiny is discussed in detail in this book. The Well Traveled Quran( A Celebration of the Endurance of Kalam Allah)

£4.49

The Noble Qur’an is Kalam Allah (speech of Allah), the eternal message, preserved forever, for all of humanity. Allah’s Word was revealed, for the last time, to the final Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (S).Within two centuries of the founding of the Islamic state, Muslims had spread the message of Din al-Haq (religion of truth) east to the borders of China, and west to Spain and the shores of the Atlantic. The secret of Chinese paper making, first passed on to the Muslims in Baghdad, created an ‘information explosion’ that reverberated throughout Dar al-Islam (land of Islam). Inexpensive paper permitted the dissemination of Kalam Allah and, eventually, the transcription of hundreds of thousands of ahadith. The Islamic world soon developed a creative and literate culture of high civilization. This story chronicles the nine hundred year long odyssey of a beautiful handwritten Qur’an produced in Cordoba in the 11th century. The plight of the Moriscos (Arabic Al-Muriskiyyun), the last Muslims of Al-Andalus, becomes an integral part of the amazing story of the well-traveled Quran.
