من المؤلفين البارعين في التأليف الحافظ الحجة محمد بن نصر المروزي المولود سنة 202 المتوفى سنة 294 رحمه الله تعالى وقد طُبع قدرٌ مباركٌ من مؤلفاته منها: «كتاب السنة» المشهور بين أهل العلم سلفاً وخلفاً، وقد علّق الإمام البخاري رحمه الله تعالى أثراً عن ابن عون في كتاب الاعتصام بالكتاب والسنة من «صحيحه» «13/248» ووصل ذكر هذا الأثر في كتاب «السنة» للمروزي الحافظ ابن حجر في كتابه «فتح الباري» «13/251 252» والعيني في «عمدة القاري» 25/26 وفي «تغليق التعليق» «5/319» وصله ابن حجر بإسناده من طريق محمد بن نصر المروزي. ثم إن المروزي رحمه الله تعالى كثيرا ما يشير إلى مؤلفاته في الكتاب ويحيل عليها «انظر: ص 93 من كتاب السنة». والمروزي رحمه الله تعالى يسوق مروياته بالإسناد عن شيوخه وهم في هذا الكتاب نحو ثلاثين شيخاً، وهم من شيوخه في بعض كتبه المطبوعة، بل إن بعض المرويات إسناداً ومتناً هم في هذا الكتاب، وفي كتبه الأخرى. انظر «السنة» «ص 49» رقم: «156»، و«تعظيم قدر الصلاة» «1/95 ح11»، لهذا فإن نسبة هذا الكتاب للمروزي محل إجماع ولن يحسّ الناظر بأثرٍ ولا أثارةٍ تخرم هذا الاجماع.
