وقام المؤلف بإيراد الآيات المتشابهة، ومقارنة توجيه الغرناطي مع توجيهات غيره من العلماء لها، واختيار نماذج من هذه الآيات، وإفرادها في هذا الكتاب، وبذا يغدو هذا العمل مكمِّلاً لرسالة المصنِّف في الماجستير.
وذكر المؤلف أنواعاً للتشابه لم يسبق له دراستها في الرسالة الأكاديمية، كتعاور الألفاظ، وفواصل الآي، والحشد البياني، مع إضافة أمثلة أخرى للأنواع التي سبقت دراستها.
وبذلك يغدو الكتاب مع كتاب (دراسة المتشابه اللفظي من آي التنزيل في كتاب ملاك التأويل) يكملان بعضهما، وتعظم فائدة القراء الكرام؛ في اطّلاعهم على موضوع الآيات المتشابهة في نص القرآن الكريم.
