ديوان بشار بن برد , إن لدواوين الشعر الصحيح مكانة عظيمة في تمييز مستعمل الكلام من مهجوره وجدوى على طالبي النطق بالكلام الفصيح , وقد تنافس الشعراء في مضمار الفحولة فيه , وكان ممن ترأسوا في هذا الميدان بشار بن برد , الذي حلاه أئمة الأدب بكونه أول المولدين المحدثين وآخر المتقدمين من الإسلاميين فقد جمع في شعره أفضل معاني الشعر العربي القديم ومعاني القرآن وكلام الفحصاء , وكان من أهم خصائص شعره تفننه في أغراضة وجزالته وسلامة ذوقه والمزج بين كثرة المعاني وفصاحة التعبير عنها مما حدا أهل الصناعة للاهتمام بشعره , ولما لا , وقد وجدوه – وهو أعمى البصر – يصف الغرام وأفانينه القلبية والحسية التي برزت في تشبيهاته وأخيلته الرائعة التي دلت على شاعريته وقوة خياله وبلاغة كلامه.
