The utterance lā ilāha illallāh is a true statement of sincerity (ikhlās) because its meaning is that one sincerely worships only Allāh, the Most High, besides whom there is none worthy of worship. Therefore the meaning of lā ilāha illallāh is, “There is no deity worthy of worship in truth except Allāh.”
