A Description Of The Supererogatory (Sunnah) Prayers
O Muslim, be consistent with the regular supererogatory Prayers, imitating the excellent example of the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). As Allaah said,
“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allaah you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the meeting with) Allaah and the Last Day, and remembers Allaah much.” [Sooratul-Ahzaab 33:21]
Being consistent with the supererogatory Prayers is also a way to compensate for any fault or deficiency that transpired in the obligatory Prayers.
Man is prone to fall short and fail to achieve perfection, and therefore he is in need of something to compensate for his negligence.
For this reason – O Muslim – you cannot afford to neglect the regular supererogatory Prayers, as this will earn you extra rewards, which you will find with your Lord.
Along with every obligatory act, whether it is the compulsory prayer, compulsory fasting, compulsory zakaat or compulsory Hajj, a corresponding supererogatory act has been legislated. All of these obligations are accompanied by similar supererogatory acts that have been legislated to compensate for any flaw and to rectify any discrepancy.
The fact that Allaah has prescribed different acts of worship, so as to elevate His servants in degrees and cleanse them of their sins, is a blessing which He bestows upon them.
Furthermore, my dear brothers, you should know that performance of the regular supererogatory prayers is heavily emphasised and it is disliked to abandon them. Whoever continuously leaves off these Prayers is considered to be sinful , and according to some Imaams such a person is untrustworthy because constantly leaving off these Prayers suggests a weakness in his Religion and negligence on his part.

What Do You Know About The Qasidah al-Burdah (The Poem of the Scarf)
In this treatise, the late Syrian Shaykh, and former teacher at Dar al-Hadith in Makkah al-Mukarrmah, Muhammad Jamil Zino, points out some of the glaring ‘aqidah errors in the famous poem Qasidah al-Burdah, or The Poem of the Scarf – as it is commonly referred to in the West. The Shaykh writes in his usual simple and clear style, utilising the Qur’an and Hadith to critique certain passages authored by the author al-Busiri, in a non-biased and academic manner. The treatise also includes an introduction by the translator, Zulfiker Ibrahim Memon, a Masters student at the Islamic University of Madinah, in which he clarifies the importance of Tawhid, worshipping Allah alone and refraining from exaggerating about the Prophet ﷺ

Educating Muslim Women: The West African Legacy of Nana Asma’u, 1793-1864
£16.50Educating Muslim Women The West African Legacy of Nana Asma’u 1793-1864 By Jean Boyd & Beverly Mack
Nana Asma’u was a devout, learned Muslim who was able to observe, record, interpret, and influence the major public events that happened around her. Daughters are still named after her, her poems still move people profoundly, and the memory of her remains a vital source of inspiration and hope. Her example as an educator is still followed: the system she set up in the first quarter of the nineteenth century, for the education of rural women, has not only survived in its homeland—through the traumas of the colonization of West Africa and the establishment of the modern state of Nigeria—but is also being revived and adapted elsewhere, notably among Muslim women in the United States. This book, richly illustrated with maps and photographs, recounts Asma’u’s upbringing and critical junctures in her life from several sources, mostly unpublished: her own firsthand experiences presented in her writings, the accounts of contemporaries who witnessed her endeavors, and the memoirs of European travelers. For the account of her legacy the authors have depended on extensive field studies in Nigeria, and documents pertaining to the efforts of women in Nigeria and the United States, to develop a collective voice and establish their rights as women and Muslims in today’s societies. Beverley Mack is an associate professor of African studies at the University of Kansas. She is co-editor (with Catherine Coles) of Hausa Women in the Twentieth Century and co-author (with Jean Boyd) of The Collected Works of Nana Asma’u, 1793–1864 and One Woman’s Jihad: Nana Asma’u Scholar and Scribe. Jean Boyd is former principal research fellow of the Sokoto History Bureau and research associate of the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. She is the author

Men Around The Messenger ﷺ
The Lives of 60 Well Known Companions of the Prophet (SAW) after the four rightly guided Khalifa’s
from Mus’ab Ibn ‘Umair to Usaamah ibn Zaid to Saalim Mawla Abi Hudhaifah.
While reading this book, we cannot help but be moved by the lives of the Companions herein depicted.
How we long to have their awe and reverence for Allah! How we long to spend the same hours in worship as they! How we long to be as brave as they were in the face of danger! How we long to be as patient as they were under torture!
This book fulfills the need for the English-speaking Muslim to learn more about that first generation of Muslims. Indeed the Companions — the men who were contemporaries with the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) — inspire and encourage us.
Read these stories and share them with your children, for these Companions are a part of our Islamic heritage that will, Allah willing, strengthen us as a nation if we try to follow their examples. This book details the lives of 60 of the Companions (none of the Caliphs, discussed in other volumes), with inspiring discussion of their courage and determination.

Muhammad (PBUH) His Character and Conduct
Muslims all over the world see Muhammad as God’s last messenger to mankind, and, for every community that wants to live under God’s guidance, the Prophet Muhammad’s character and conduct is the light showing the way to God’s pleasure. The Prophet’s miracle was to give to humanity a system of life that provides for all the needs of body, mind and soul, and elevates man’s aspirations towards a sublime ideal.
Through his actions, he showed the way to achieve all this in a very simple, direct and truthful manner. He built a state that was dedicated to truth and justice and to the liberation of man throughout the world. He wrote to emperors, kings and rulers, calling on them to believe in God and to follow His message, yet, at the same time, he lived a life of poverty, leaving aside the riches that were offered to him.
At a time when the Prophet is much maligned by writers, cartoonists, and various other detractors this book aims to show Muhammad’s true character in detail, both in its most everyday and most extraordinary moments.

So doing, the author examines insightfully how Islam was practised in Makkah, how Muslims led their lives as migrants in Abyssinia and how Muslim minorities were treated by the Islamic state of Madinah.

This Atlas is new in its subject, a subject that has not been touched before. It helps whoever recites the Quran or studies it to specify the locations mentioned by the Noble Verses, and to mark those places of ancient people mentioned in the Qur’an Quran. Sahih Al-Bukhari (Medium)
Sahih Al-Bukhari covers almost all aspects of life in providing proper guidance from the messenger of Allah. Translated into English in a very easy & simple language, so that all readers can understand it without difficulty. This summarized edition of Sahih Al-Bukhari has Arabic text with corresponding English translation side by side.
All Muslim Scholars agree that Sahih Al-Bukhari is the most authentic book after the Qur’an. The Summarized Bukhari is condensed into about 1000 pages by selecting a few Ahadith from the original 9-Volume which has about 4000 pages. This book contains about 2220 Ahadith. Most of the duplicate hadith from different chains (with slight variations) have been removed and only one has been kept.
In Imam Bukhari’s ‘Al-Jami-al-Sahih’ (Sahih Al Bukhari) the Imam had recorded all the Sayings of the Prophet which he found to be genuine after thorough examination and scrutiny. He spent sixteen years in research and examined more than sixty thousand Sayings from which he selected some 7,275 Sayings whose genuineness and accuracy he established beyond the slightest doubt. Deducting duplicates, the Imam’s collection contain about four thousand distinct Sayings.
The text used for this Summary is based on Imam Zayn al-Din Ahmad ibn Ahmad al-Sharji al-Zubaydi (d. 893) the author of the abridged Sahih al-Bukhari [al-Tajrid al-Sarih].

The Sciences Of The Quran
All praises are due unto Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, and upon his family, and all of his Companions. Thus to proceed:
This is an introduction concerning the Noble Qur’an. It is intended to present writings about the stories in the Noble Qur’an. In this writing we would like to discuss the Qur’an itself: Defining it, describing it, discussing its virtue, when it was revealed, and how it was revealed. Also we will discuss why it was revealed in separate parts, who compiled it, how it was compiled, and when was it compiled. Then we will discuss its distinguished characteristics, its many facets, its miracles, and other related discussions.
We have intended in this introductory study of the Qur’an to show the student its mistaken understandings, and to guide the Muslim youth towards the correct understanding of the Qur’an and its related aspects. It also has not evaded us that we should point out the wisdom of expounding upon the Qur’anic stories in the Qur’an. This is so that we can stop at the thresholds of the Qur’anic stories with an understanding of this book (the Qur’an) which holds these stories between its covers.
It is Allah, the Most High, Who I ask to make this matter easy for us, and that He make possible that this pen be from the pens of Islamic struggle that defend the religion of Islam, and spread every valuable aspect of the religion.
Allah is the One Who we seek help from, and He is behind our every good intention.

Allah Commands Us to Make Dua
Praying to Allah and making supplications to Him are a necessary part of every act of worship. In fact, the Prophet, said that prayers are the worship itself, or to be exact, the main part of it.
Allah likes that His creatures worship Him and pray to Him, because the worship and the prayers are the physical and practical way of declaring our faith and creed that Allah alone has created us and only He is to be worshiped.
Allah has prescribed for us the ways and acts of worship. As Allah does not burden His creatures more than they could bear, the prescribed acts of worship are the minimum one should perform. But to get nearer to Allah and to attain His Pleasure, we should do something more than the prescribed acts. In this regard the prayers and supplications are the most easy acts of worship for us to adopt. We are fortunate that the Prophet has guided us about how to pray and has taught us the supplications we should make on various occasions.
In this book, the emphasis is on the style so that the children can easily understand the significance of prayers and supplications. All these are taken from the Qur’an and the authentic books of Hadeeths.
May Allah guide us all and keep us on the straight path of Islam, protect us from the evil whispers of Satan, make easy for us all the acts of worship and help us – attain righteousness.

The Miracles The Incident of Cleft Moon (Part 1)
“The incident of the cleft moon is one of the greatest miracles from Allah (SWT) to his messenger (SAWS). This incident has been the subject of a great many misunderstanding among the people, especially the non-Muslims and the so-called rationalist Muslims. All these aspects have been dealt with in this book, which seeks to clarify the misconceptions. This incident, which happened during the time of Muhammad (SAWS), demonstrates a clear sign of his Prophethood. This book not only gives an account of the splitting of the moon in an interesting manner, but also touches upon other miracles connected with the moon split. The author has shown great skill in clarifying doubts and suspicions that arise among the modern students. He also tries to erase their doubts through various aspects of the story in the light of the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah.”

We are publishing this book with two purposes in mind. One is to signify the meanings of the statement of Faith, which is Laa ilaaha illallaah; and what position it should hold in our lives. The conditions and the requirements of the statement of Faith are clearly described for our children in such a style that they will grasp it without any difficulty. All the Articles of Faith have been explained to them in a very easy manner. In fact every child gets the clear idea of all the requirements of Faith by reading this book, and this was one aim which has been achieved in a perfect manner. The second aim was to promote healthy extracurricular activities in the school children. Various types of debates, writing competitions and sports produce sound effects both mentally and physically upon the children. They become fluent in expressing themselves through words whether it is by speaking or by writing. Child education in Islam
This book outlines the basic Islamic concepts in child education. The author has tried to coordinate the main ideas, as well as the basics precepts for raising Muslim children in all the different spheres of life. First of all, the importance of correct belief and faith cannot be inculcated in young children except through the teaching and example of their parents; and obviously, the role of the mature and religious mother is foremost.
This state of harmony can only be achieved when matrimonial relations are relatively stable. Care is to be taken in providing young children with all the necessary elements in the fields of ethical, physical and psychological education. This cannot be overemphasized. It is established that the common ailments of human societies, personal as well as social, find their remedy in monotheism and justice. Therefore, emphasis on these two moral principles is essential. Muslim children must develop a clear understanding of the concept of the oneness of Allah, mainly through the performance of devotional acts of worship, to Him, and through developing a sense of justice in all personnel and social dealings.
The author has briefly outlined these glorious concepts in this book. Through his deep understanding of Islam, and his eminent conviction and personal adherence to its glorious principles, he introduces this book to the readers, with all practical instructions, with the intention of helping to build up a Muslim nation, worthily to uphold the honourable tenets of the Glorious Qur’an and Sunnah.

Although he was very poor, he sacrificed the dire food he had to the Prophet (SallaAllahu’alayhi wa salam) who was tying two stones to his stomach to overcome the feeling of hunger. As a result, his house was blessed, thanks to the prayers made by the Prophet (Alayhi salat wa salam).

Encyclopedia of Islam for Children
This reference tool, which is a humble attempt to place before the English-speaking Muslim children a number of basic Islamic teachings and concepts, is primarily aimed at children of age ten years and over and presents topics in an easy-to-use alphabetical format. It also covers a wide range of topics and features cross-references which draw attention to related subjects.
Given the fact that some of these Islamic teachings and concepts have been forgotten by many Muslims, and given the fact that some of them have been given wrong definitions or interpretations by some non-Muslims, either deliberately or out of ignorance, an effort has been made here to present these teachings and concepts in their true light and clear picture.
The definitions cover a wide range of concepts as well as some of the well-known Prophets and Messengers of Allah, may Allah’s peace be upon them all, the significance of certain important Islamic occasions, the benefits of the observance of certain practices and a short biography of the four rightly-guided caliphs who helped shape the destiny of the new faith.
Even though the present reference guide is designed specifically for Muslim children, readers and students of all ages and different faiths who wish to learn more about the world’s fastest-growing religion will certainly find it enlightening and highly informative.
