Obstacles In The Path Of Seeking Knowledge

Shaykh Abd Al-Salam Ibn Burjis Ibn Nasir Al-Abd Al-Karim

This concise collection of words discusses some of the obstacles that confronts the student of knowledge with further explanation and clarification.

I have presented this advice in the form of obstacles so that it would be more likely for them to be avoided and stronger in terms of the warnings regarding them since contained in these obstacles are things that guide towards avoiding them and help to eliminate them. I have repeatedly cited narrations of the pious predecessors that are related to these obstacles so that the reader can establish a link to them and take from their biographies a personal methodology since they were more guided and more mindful of Allaah.

az-Zuhri said to Yunus ibn Yazid:
“Do not look down upon knowledge since knowledge consists of valleys. So whatever you take from it, let it be a significant portion before you convey it [to others]. And take it over days and nights. Do not take knowledge all at once.  For certainly, whoever seeks to take it all at once will lose it all at once. Instead, take it little by little over days and nights.” Jami Bayyan al-‘ilm wa Fadlihi (Vol 1 Page 104)

Laa Ilaaha Ill-Allaah: Its Meaning, Pillars, Conditions, Nullifiers and What It Necessitates

£6.50

Laa Ilaaha Ill-Allaah: Its Meaning, Pillars, Conditions, Nullifiers and What It Necessitates By Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhaab al-Wassaabee

Such is Allaah, your Lord! Laa ilaaha illaa Huwa [None has the right to be worshipped but He], the Creator of all things. So worship Him [alone], and he is the Wakeel [Trustee, Disposer of Affairs or Guardian]
over all things.
[Sooratul-An’aam, 6:102]

This monumental, oft-repeated statement, “Laa Ilaaha Ill-Allaah,” in its various forms, is the statement of tawheed which all the Prophets and Messengers were sent to instruct the people with. The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Give glad tiding to the people that whosoever says, ‘None has the right to be worshiped except Allaah alone, without any partners,’ Paradise becomes obligatory for him.”  But what does this statement actually mean, and how does knowing and understanding its implications benefit the Believer?

Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Abdil-Wahhaab al-Wassaabee answers this question by illuminating the reality of saying “Laa Ilaaha ill-Allaah.” He presents a terse, yet rich explanation of this statement, its pillars and its conditions and warns of what nullifies it. He also indicates where this statement appears in the Noble Qur’an and the various ahaadeeth attesting to its importance.

It is imperative that every Muslim, male or female, young or old, to not only reaffirm that Laa Ilaaha Ill-Allaah, but understand its meaning and its implications.

Logical Proofs For The The Oneness & Perfection Of Allah By Shaykh Abdur Rahman As-Sa’dee (Authentic Statments)

£8.00

Logical Proofs For The The Oneness & Perfection Of Allah By Shaykh Abdur Rahman As-Sa’dee

Know, may Allah show you mercy, that upon viewing and contemplating the upper and lower universe, all that it is endowed with of widely varying creations, and what is continuously occurring anew within it at every moment, you will come to logically know that all that is possible can be categorized within three groups: The First: That these activities and creations came into existence by themselves without a maker or creator. This is impossible and outright rejected. Logic can clearly state necessarily that this is false and it is known for certainty that whoever thinks that is closer to insanity than sanity. This is because every rational person knows that it is impossible for anything to exist without a maker and causer. The Second: That these creations originated and created their own selves. This is also impossible and outright rejected. Anyone with the least intellect is definite on the fact that something cannot originate itself just as it cannot come into existence without an originator. Once these two categories are logically and instinctually invalidated then the other category is clearly designated which is: The Third: That these creations and happening have a creator and originator that created and made them and that it is Allah the magnificent Lord, the creator of everything, disposer of everything and controller of all affairs. Accordingly, Allah alerted mankind to this logical categorization that is clear to any logical person. He said: “Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief.”

The Role of the Woman in Rectifying the Society (IBNUL QAYYIM Publcations)

£3.50

Role of women in rectifying society by Shaykh Muhammad al-Uthaymeen

Indeed the role of the woman in rectifying society is a role of great importance and that is because rectification of society will occur in two ways:

The first way – the external rectification:

It is that which will take place in the market places, the masajid and in other places which are outside of the home. For the most part, this rectification occurs by way of the men because they are the ones who deal with the outside affairs.

As for the second way, then it is the rectification of society which occurs within the home:

It is that which takes place inside the homes and for the most part, it is those duties in which the women are entrusted with within the household.

Be Salafee upon The Path By Shaykh Abdus Salaam As-Suhaymee (TROID Publication)

£12.50

Be Salafee uopn The Path By Shaykh Abdus Salaam As-Suhaymee

“It is not at all an innovation to refer to Ahlus-Sunnah as the Salafiyyoon. Rather, the legislative usage of ‘as-Salaf’ corresponds completely with the legislative usage of ‘Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah.’ That is ascertained by contemplating upon the consensus of all of the linguists regarding the Companions. For they (the Companions) are the Salaf and they are Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah. So just as it is correct for us to say: “Sunnee,” as an ascription to Ahlus-Sunnah, it is also correct for us to say:“Salafee,” as an ascription to the Salaf; there is no difference.”

A hot topic amongst Muslims today, ‘What is Salafiyyah?’ ‘Who are the Salafees?’ Shaykh ‘Abdus-Salaam as-Suhaymee elucidates this often misunderstood topic. The author begins by explaining the linguistic and legislative meaning of as-Sunnah, listing and clarifying the various legislative names for Ahlus-Sunnah. The legislative meaning of ‘as-Salaf’ is expounded upon, and who is considered to be from the Salafus-Saalih is clearly explained. He clarifies why one should openly manifest the madh-hab of the Salafus-Saalih, name oneself with as-Salafiyyah, and brings some of the evidences of why it is obligatory to follow and cling to this noble madh-hab. Other topics explained includes, the manhaj of the Salafus-Saalih in ‘aqeedah in contrast to the manhaj of the People of Desires. He concludes with a brief explanation of the position of the Salafus-Saalih in refuting the innovators and provides guidance on how Ahlus-Sunnah should deal with the People of Desires.

£8.50

SINS AND THEIR PUNISHMENT BY IMAM IBN QAYYIM AL-JAWZIYYAH

What you have before you is a marvelous work from the Imaam, the scholar, who was known as Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah. He was born Muhammad ibn Aboo Bakr ibn Ayyoob az-Zar’ee ad-Dimashqee, ash-Shamsud-Deen ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (691 AH-751 A.H). He was born in a town near Damascus, Syria.

He was raised in a house of knowledge and he began his studies with his father. Then he went on to study in Damascus and from there he became a student under Ibn Taymiyyah in 712 AH. He remained with Ibn Taymiyyah until the death of his teacher in 728 AH. For those 16 years, he assisted his teacher in defending the Sunnah and was jailed with his teacher on more than one occasion.

He did not show preference towards any particular Madhab; rather he had a firm inclination towards the Sunnah, and he firmly defended the ‘Aqeedah and way of the Salafus-Saalih.

Ibnul Qayyim was a sea of knowledge, as shown by his many monumental works as well as by the students he had under his tutelage.

The Imaam wrote many books, known for touching the heart of those who read them thereby giving those who were entranced in his writings a deeper understanding of their purpose.

Some of his well known students were Imaam adh-Dhahabee, Imaam Ibn Kathir, Imaam al-Haafidh Ibn Rajiab, May Allaah bless them all.

Surrendering And Submitting To Allah (Authentic Statments)

£9.00

Surrendering And Submitting To Allah

By Shaykh Muhammad Raslan
Verily, The Greatest Duty carried out by religion, for who adheres to its teachings, is that the religion itself straightens out the individual’s attitude upon the path of Allah (Glory be to Him) and the Sunnah of His Messenger and instructs the individual to comply with the commands of Allah and His Messenger instead of his/her evil desires and traditions besides qualifying the individual to submit one’s heart and soul to Allah in order to dispose them the way He wills.

This is the first task of the religion; or rather, it is its foundational task, such that there is no task other than it. Namely, release the human being from his habitual whims, his soul’s desires and embrace the commands of Allah and His Messenger. Upon the fulfillment of this purpose, the individual will inherently be a judge on himself/herself: is he/she a sincere adherent to his Lord’s religion, or is this just an empty claim where the words boast of it while there is no reality behind it? If the individual submits his heart to Allah, the Lord of the universe, and His commands and prohibitions then this is true submission; otherwise, if he contends with Allah in His commands, prohibitions, fate and divine decree, what kind of Muslim is this?!

The Innate Rights According To Islamic Laws – Shaykh ibn Uthaymeen

£6.00

The Innate Rights According To Islamic Law

Verily from the beauty of Allah’s ‎legislation is that justice is established, and everything is ‎given its rights, without excessiveness or neglect. For indeed ‎Allah has ordered that there be justice, kindness, and ‎assisting of the relatives. Due to justice the messengers were ‎sent, the books were revealed, and the affairs of the worldly ‎life and hereafter were established. Justice is giving ‎everything its right and putting everything in its proper ‎place, and this will not be accomplished except by knowing ‎the rights so that they will be observed. Therefore, we have ‎written this speech as an important explanation of these ‎rights, so that the slave (of Allah) may do that which he ‎knows from them according to the best of his ability, and ‎this has been summarized in the following.‎

1. The rights of Allah‎ ‎2. The rights of the Prophet (sallahu allahi wasallam)‎ ‎3. The rights of the parents‎ ‎4. The rights of the children‎ ‎5. The rights of the relatives ‎6. The rights of the spouses‎ ‎7. The rights of the leaders and their subjects‎ ‎8. The rights of the neighbors ‎ ‎9. The rights of the Muslims in general‎ ‎10. The rights of the non- Muslims

The Grave : Its Torment And Its Pleasure

It is related that Abu Hurairah said: “We were walking with the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) when we passed two graves. Then he stood still and we stood with him. His color started to change and he rolled up his sleeves, so we said: ‘What’s the matter, oh Prophet of Allah?’, he said: ‘Don’t you hear what I’m hearing?’ We said: ‘What is it, oh Prophet of Allah?’ He said: ‘These two men are being severely punished in their graves for a relatively minir sin.” We said: ‘For what are they punished, oh Prophet of Allah?’ He said: ‘One of them never used to clean urine from himself, and the other used to harm the people by his speech and walk amongst the people carrying tales.’

So he called for two palm stalks and he put one into each grave. We said: ‘Will this benefit them oh Messenger of Allah?’ He replied: ‘Yes, it will lighten their punishment for as long as it remains moist.'”

Reported by Abu Hatim (3/106) in “Al-Ihsan”.

And Sheikh Muqbil declared it as “good” in “Al-Jami’ As-Sahih mimma laisa fi As-Sahihain” (2/278-279).

The Prophet’s Prayer Described

£3.95

The Prophet’s Prayer Described:

Taken From The Writers Introduction:

The main text includes the text of ahaadeeth or phrases taken from them, as well as appropriate words to string them together to give the book a fluency from start to finish. I have been careful to preserve the text of each hadeeth as it is found in the books and the sunnah; where a hadeeth has different wordings, I have chosen the version which best fits the fluency etc. but i have brought together other wordings thus “(in one version:…)” or “(in one narration:…)”. Only rarely have I given the Companion who narrated the hadeeth, or explained in the main text which of the Imaams of Hadeeth have collected each hadeeth, in order to provide easier reading and reference.

This book can be considered a more advanced study of the daily Salat. It is a more scholarly description of the daily Prayer. Each aspect of Salat is presented from the viewpoint of the time of the Prophet (PBUH) himself, with numerous references to classical sources.

Fiqh Az-Zakat

£40.00

Fiqh Az-Zakat:

Among the most important books Dr. Yusuf al-Qardawi has written is the present volume on fiqh az-Zakat. It is a study which deals in depth with legal rulings and philosophy of zakat in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Among the five pillars of Islam, Zakat is the third after Tawhid and prayer. It is crucial to the financial and political structure of every Muslim community. Yet, despite its pivotal significance, it is the least understood of the basic practices of Islam and indeed now plays little or no part in the lives of the vast majority of Muslims. That fact makes this book a very important addition to the literature available to English-speaking Muslims.

It covers every aspect of zakat in great detail, studying those who are obliged to pay zakat, the amounts they have to pay, as well as the types of wealth on which zakat must be paid. It also deals with how zakat is collected, its connection to Muslim governance and its relation to society as a whole. Fiqh az-Zakat is a seminal work for all Muslims and an important reference book for everyone interested in Islam.

Shaykh Yusuf al-Qaradawi

Shaykh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi born in Egypt 1926. One of the most prominent scholars of the 20th century. He memorized the Quran before the age of 10. He is an expert on principals of Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), Arabic language, and other Islamic Sciences. He has published over 100 books, which are bestsellers in the Islamic world.

His books cover various topics, such as: Fiqh, how to understand the Sunnah, how to understand the Qur’an, a two volume book on Zakat which is considered by many scholars as a treasure house for the Islamic library, environment, Fiqh of Minorities, poetry, and many other topics.

Shaykh Al-Qaradawi represents an original effort to make the comprehensive rules of Islam accessible and understandable to non-specialists, and he always tries to join between the principles of the religion and the problems facing the Muslims today.

The History of The Qurâanic Text

£19.95

The History of The Qur’anic Text From Revelation to Compilation :

The History of The Qur’anic Text

The Qur’an reigns supreme in Muslim hearts as the most sacred of texts: a profusion of exalted ideas to rouse the mind, noble histories to stir the soul, universal truths to awaken the conscience and Precise injunctions directing humanity to its own deliverance, all Distilled into the melodious essence that is the Word of Allah through fourteen centuries Muslims have persevered in championing the text against corruption, memorizing its every word and contemplating its every phrase, so that in our own times untold millions have enthusiastically committed each letter to heart.

Beginning with a catalogue of ancient and contemporary attacks on the Qur’an, this expansive book, The History of the Qur’anic Text, provides unique insights into the holy text’s immaculate preservation throughout its history as well as exploring many of the accusations levelled against it. The reception of divine revelations, Prophet Muhammad’s role in teaching and disseminating these verses, the text compilation under his guidance and the setting of its final external shape shortly after his death, arc meticulously and scientifically examined alongside such topics as the origins of Arabic, its palaeography and orthography, the so-called Mushaf of Ibn Mas’ud, and the strict methodology employed in assembling textual fragments.

By way of comparison the author investigates the histories of the Old and New Testaments, relying entirely on Judeo-Christian sources including the Dead Sea Scrolls, and uncovers a startling range of alterations that touch almost every facet of the Biblical Scriptures. Using this as a springboard for assessing Western theories regarding the Qur’an, he makes a sophisticated yet passionate case for questioning the” aims of Western scholarship in continuously undermining Islam’s Holy Book, and illustrates convincingly that such research, motivated by more than mere curiosity, has no scientific bearing on the Qur’an’s integrity.

This monumental effort, a scholarly work composed in an impassioned tone, provides a welcome foundation for sincere study at a time when assailing the Qur’an has become all too common.

.Tawheed al-Ilaahiyyah

.The six pillars of eemaan (faith)

The Correct Creed That Every Muslim Must Believe

The Correct Creed That Every Muslim Must Believe:

In a hadeeth that is in Saheeh Muslim and other books of hadeeth, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him said what translates into English as,

“Once we were sitting with The Messenger of Allah when a man rose upon us who had very white clothes and very black hair. No sign of travel was seen upon him, nor did anyone from amongst us know him. (He kept coming) until he sat next to The Prophet and touched his knees to his knees and put his two hands on his thighs and said, ‘Oh Muhammad inform me about Al-Islaam.’ So The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Al-Islaam is that you testify that laa ilaaha illa Allah (none has the right to be worshipped except Allah) and that Muhammad Rasool Allah (Muhammad is the messenger of Allah), and that you establish The Salat, and that you pay The Zakat, and that you fast Ramadan, and to make pilgrimage to The House if you are able to find a way. He (i.e. the strange man) said, ‘you have spoken the truth.’

He (i.e. ‘Umar) said, ‘So we were amazed that he asked him (the question) and then confirmed (the truthfulness of the answer). He (i.e. the stranger) said, ‘Then informs me about Al-Imaan.’ He (i.e.) said, ‘That you believe in Allah and The Angels and The Books and The Last Day and that you believe in Al-Qadar (predestination), the good of it and the bad of it.’ He (i.e. the stranger) said, ‘You have spoken the truth.’ He (i.e. the stranger) said, ‘Then informs me about Al-Ihsaan.’

He (i.e. The Prophet) said, ‘(It is) that you worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you do not see Him then He sees you.’ He (i.e. the stranger) said, ‘Then informs me about The Hour. (I.e. when is The Last Day?)’ He (i.e. The Prophet [May the peace and commendations of Allah be upon him]) said, ‘The one being asked is not more knowledgeable about it then the questioner.’

He (i.e. the stranger) said, ‘Then informs me about its signs.’ He (i.e. The Prophet [May the peace and commendations of Allah be upon him]) said, ‘that the slave woman gives birth to her mistress, and that you see the barefoot naked destitute shepherds competing with each other in constructing high buildings (i.e. to see who can builder a higher one). He (i.e. ‘Umar, the narrator of the hadeeth) said, ‘Then he (i.e. the stranger) departed so I remained for a while.

Then he (i.e. The Prophet) said: ‘Oh ‘Umar do you know whom the questioner was?’ I said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know best.’ He said, ‘Verily it was Jibreel he came to teach you your religion.’

So I, the translator, mentioned this hadeeth because it clarifies what the basis of The Islamic Creed is the creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah.

It is to believe in Allah, His Angels, His Messengers (May the peace and commendations of Allah be upon them), His Books, The Last Day, and Al-Qadar. So it is these six things that the sheikh began with in his book, following the same order mentioned in the hadeeth.

Also he deals with some of the other main beliefs of the people of The Sunnah. From those is the correct position concerning the status of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and the family of The Messenger of Allah and the meaning and the reality of Al-Imaan (faith) and the correct belief concerning the miracles of righteous people, as well as other topics.

The Sheikh has dealt with all of the topics in a short and concise manner such that it is easy for the beginning level student of Islamic knowledge to benefit greatly from this book and it is not too heavy on them. I occasionally put some translator’s comments or footnotes to facilitate the understanding of what is being translated. With that said I begin this task seeking the aid of Allah and His blessings by mentioning His Majestic name.

Unity & The Abandonment Of Parties

£12.50

Unity & The Abandonment Of Parties:

All praise be to Allah, Lord of all that exists. I bear witness that no god has the right to be worshiped except Allah, the Guardian of the righteous. And I bear witness that Muhammad  is his slave and messenger (pbuh), his family, his slave and many salutations to them.

While many Muslims are isolated to their religion, they have been exposed to many foreign ideas. This is a dangerous issue, but what is even more dangerous is when disbelievers bring their filth of western societies to Muslims in order to deceive them and insert ideas that are normally unacceptable in Muslim societies.

More dangerous than this is the fact that those ideas are adopted and supported by streams of groups belonging to Islam, such as Ikhwaanul-Muslimeen, Hizbut-Tahreer and others. They attempt to beautify these ideas with an Islamic flavor in order to make them more palatable to the unknowing observer. Hence standing against those ideas is considered a great kind of Jihaad for the sake of Allah…

We compiled this research from a study we prepared on Democracy based on the rulings of Imaam Muqbil Ibn Haadee al Waadiee and his prominent students proving that democracy is unrelated to Islam regardless of what the carriers of this deviant ideology may bring to deceive the uninformed. Also we have preceded this research with the book “Unity & the Abandonment of Parties” by the noble Shaykh Saalih Fawzaan Ibn Abdullah al-Fawzaan to explain the unity of the Muslims…

The Superiority Of The Knowledge Of The Predecessors Over The Knowledge Of The Successors

£6.50

The Superiority Of The Knowledge Of The Predecessors Over The Knowledge Of The Successors

This is the third book in the “Classical Knowledge Series” which is a collection of works written by the scholars of the past on the virtues, etiquettes and aspects of knowledge. This particular book written by the great scholar, Al-Haafidh Ibn Rajab, is one of the well known works authored on the subject. In spite of its small size, the treatise brings to light many amazing and intricate points of benefit with regard to knowledge and discerning between which of its types are beneficial and non-beneficial. Indeed, the Prophet praised some forms of knowledge while condemning others. And at times he would ask Allaah to grant him beneficial knowledge while at other times he would seek refuge in Him from non-beneficial knowledge.

It is for this reason that the author took on the task of clarifying the various types, characteristics, signs and consequences of both beneficial knowledge and non-beneficial knowledge in this short treatise, as well as affirming the superiority of the knowledge of the predecessors (Salaf) over the knowledge of those who succeeded them (Khalaf).

Altogether, this is a splendid and remarkable book – loaded with reminders and admonitions and designed to assist and guide any sincere Muslim in his quest for seeking knowledge.

The Fiqh Madhhab Of Ahl ul-Hadith – The Legitimacy Of Its Features

£6.00

The Fiqh Madhhab Of Ahl ul-Hadith – The Legitimacy Of Its Features:

Ahl ul-Hadith have a Madhhab which is mentioned within the books; it is a Madhhab which has distinguishing characteristics and particularities. Between it and the Madhhab of the fuqaha (jurists), and the Dhahiri Madhhab, are signs which are hidden from some students. There are indications, and are actually clear texts, within the hadith and narrations, which contain a clear mention of the Madhhab of Ahl ul-Hadith. The Madhhab of Ahl ul-Hadith and the Madhhab of Ahl us-Sunnah, the Madhhab Ahl ul-Athar, is the Salafi Madhhab. ‘Salafiyyah’ and ‘Ahl ul-Hadith’ are two synonymous terms, however the terms ‘Ahl ul-Hadith’ and ‘Ahl us-Sunnan’ are relayed in some Prophetic texts and in some narrations from the Companions and the Successors. As for fiqh, then it is not merely babbling the statements of others and then elaborating on them, rather fiqh is to achieve the truth which Allah loves.

Shirk According To Scholars From The Four Madhhabs:

Shirk According To Scholars From The Four Madhhabs The Followers of the Imams Abu Haneefah, ash-Shafi malik Ahmad and others have exerted great effort in promoting tawheed and averting shirk. So the matter is not as some think that only the Hanbli scholars combated innovation and the shirk of the Quburiyyah and others. I have maintained that I shall not quote anything from Shaykh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, his student al-Allamah Ibn ul-Qayyim or from Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab (rahimahumullah) and his offspring. This is because i desired to show the concern of this serious issue with the Hanbali scholars and to avoid it seeming as if those scholars mentioned have a monopoly on the subject and went into the issue the most, to the extent that some of the ignoramuses attach issues related to aqeedah to “Wahhabism” and the likes.

The Names Of Attributes Of Allah According To The Doctrine Of Ahl-Us-Sunnah Wal Jama’ah

£9.00

The Names Of Attributes Of Allah According To The Doctrine Of Ahl-Us-Sunnah Wal Jama’ah:

The issues of dealing with the Names and Attributes of Allah are some of the most important issues of faith. Different Islamic sects have adopted diverse opinions concerning these issues and due to their errors, false doctrines and erroneous concepts and ideas have evolved. Allah guided our righteous predecessors, from amongst the companions and their immediate followers, to the truth in those matters about which people have differed. This book is written for the purpose of making clear the views of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah and explain the bases upon which those views are founded and highlight the features which distinguish them from others. At the same time, the characteristics of the Qur’anic, and Prophetic methodology based on belief concerning this subject become clear. This is the methodology that was followed and sanctioned by our righteous predecessor.

Book Of Emaan

£14.50

Book Of Emaan:

According To The Classical Works Of Shaikhul-Islam ( Ibn Taymiyah )

According the most noble knowledge a man can learn and teach to others is the bases of belief (emaan) and its requirements. The Best precautionary measures he can protect himself with is the knowledge of the characteristics of disbelief (Kufr), its causes and exigencies. If man has insight into these two important things, he will know the way of his happiness and follow it, and avoid the way of his misery.

In this book, we hope to elucidate the pillars of emaan and the characteristics of kufr and its causes. Allah is the one who guides us to truth. If we do right, it is only from Allah, the truth. If we err, its only from ourselves and from satan. We ask Allah to forgive us.

Branches Of Faith:

I have chosen the name of my book (Branches of Al-Iman: ‘Faith’) since it covers a number of valuable subjects related to the highest act of worship particularly At-Tawheed and other considerable supplementary topics especially the Salah, Az-Zakah, Hajj, Etc. and various other important matters which every Must know and for every freethinking and broadminded human being whose goal is to find the truth. It includes the main classification of religion and mankind, then brief discussion about the true nature of Islam and finally illustrates in a fluent style inclusive of the branches of Faith. These have been supported by proofs from the Holy Book (The Qur’an) and the Sunnah (Legal Ways) of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and other reliable sources. Although literature review in terms of references written by great scholars are essential. I have tried to justify the arguments presented in my book by relying basically on the identification of the words of Allah and the analysis of the Prophets Sunnah.

At-Tawassul (Using A Means To Seek Allah’s Help) – Darussalam

£3.00

At-Tawassul (Using A Means To Seek Allah’s Help):

Actually, the topic of Tawassul (using a means to seek Allah’s help) is one of the controversial issues among Muslim nation that has not been understood in its due perspective, and which proved hostility and hatred among different groups.

Muslims are supposed to rely on the understanding of Salaf (Prophet and his Companions, the second generation after them, and the third generation after). These are the best generations as the Prophet (S) told us.

I regret to say that only a few number of Muslims adhere and follow the way of Salaf regarding this subject while a lot of them deviated from the right way and fell into the stagnant pool of innovations and superstitions.

The author really clarified this topic by mentioning the proofs and evidences which support the three types of the allowed Tawassul and at the same time answered the suspicions and confusions surrounding this matter.

May Allah guide Muslims to the proper understanding and practice of the allowed Tawassul

Drowning Attention To Many Islamic Manhiyyat (Prohibitions)

£1.50

Drowning Attention To Many Islamic Manhiyyat (Prohibitions):

There are many things that have been prohibited in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Every Muslim is commanded to learn his deen in general and these prohibitions in particular. The Qur’an and Sunnah commands are definitely for virtues and their prohibitions are surely malicious deeds a Muslim should avoid in his everyday life.

Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) and His Messenger  (ﷺ) have prohibited everything that contains any sort of harm or evil, these prohibitions vary in their degree of evil, they are either haram (un-allowed) or Makrooh (abominable sins), which are also un-allowed even if their degree of evil is less than that of the haram and a true Muslim should avoid both.

This valuable book of Al-Munajjid like his previous book (Muharamat) is a good approach toward understanding these prohibitions of Islam and seeking the ways, the author has explained, to avoid them.

Belief In Allah In The Light Of The Qur’an And Sunnah

Original price was: £12.00.Current price is: £6.00.

Belief In Allah In The Light Of The Qur’an And Sunnah:

Although the vast majority of mankind believers in a creator or Supreme Being, their concepts vary. Islam, in the Qur’an and Sunnah, affirms the existence and oneness of the Creator and describes Him as Having the most perfect attributes, thus enabling man to have the proper concept of Him and to establish a strong bond with Him based on the understanding of His sublime attributes. But the influence of philosophy and other ideas that are alien to Islam led to the emergence of distorted concepts about Allah. In this book, Dr. ‘Umar S. al-Ashqar discusses the wrong ideas that have crept into Muslim minds concerning Allah and His attributes, and highlights the face that the only correct way to understand the verses of the Qur’an and the ahaadeeth which speak of Allah and His attributes is the way in which they were understood by the first generation of this ummah (the salaf). Dr. Al-Ashqar also examines modern concepts, such as the theory of evolutuion, and proves that they are wrong and false. Following the Qur’anic injunction to ponder the signs of Allah in the universe, he also pays attention to the stuff of natural phenomena which clearly point to the existence and Oneness of the Almighty Creator. Thus Dr. Al-Ashqar affirms the principle which lies as the heart of Islamic faith and practice, namely Tawheed, the Absolute Oness of the Divine.

The Beneficial Summary In Clarifiying The Evidences For The Categories Of Tawheed

The Beneficial Summary In Clarifiying The Evidences For The Categories Of Tawheed:

Before you is a derailed work by Shaykh ‘Abbaad of al-Madeenatun-Nabawiyyah outling the categories and types of Tawheed as understoof by the people of knowledge, from the time of the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ), to present times. Also included are replies to some of the modern-day callers to misguidance who have attempted to belittle, and even deny the three well know categories of Tawheed:

[i]: Tawheedur-Ruboobiyyah

[ii]: Tawheedul-Uloohiyyah

[iii]: Tawheedul-Asmaa’was-Sifaat

In addition to this, the original source work by Shaykh ‘Abdur-Razzaq has received critical acclaim from the Scholars of out times, such as al-‘Allaamah Saalih Ibn Fawzaan al-Fawzaan who said, “Indeed, I have read the reply og the Shaykh, Dr. ‘Abdur-Razaaq concerning this topic. So I fount it – and the praise is for Allaah – an appropriate and complete reply that relies upon convincing proofs that have been followed in the manhaj of the Salafus-Saalih from the people of knowledge and insight, such as Imaam Ahmad (d.241H) – rahimahullaah – who said in his sermon: The praise is for Allaah who, in every age and interval between the Prophets, raises up a group from the people of knowledge, who call the misguided to guidance, patiently nearing ill-treatment and harm. With the Book of Allaah they give life to the dead…. They expel from the Book of Allaah the alterations of those going beyond bounds and the false interpretations of the ignorant ones…” Refer to al-Qaqlus-Sadeed ( p.8) of ‘Abdur-Razzaaq al-‘Abbaad.

Matters Related To Fasting

£3.00

Matters Related To Fasting :

Allah has blessed His slaves with certain seasons of goodness, in which hasanat (rewards for good deeds) are multiplied, sayyi’at (bad deeds) are forgiven, people’s status is raised and the hearts of the believers turn to their Lord. Those who purify themselves attain success and those who corrupt themselves fail.

One of the greatest acts of worship is fasting, which Allah has made obligatory to His slaves.

As the status of this act of worship is so high, it is essential to learn the Ahkam (rulings) that have to do with the month of fasting, so that the Muslim will know what is obligatory, in order to do it, what is haram, in order to avoid it and what is permissible, so that he does not need to subject himself to hardship by depriving himself of it.

This book is a good summary of the rulings, etiquette’s and Sunnah of fasting.

£17.50

The Minor Resurrection (What happens after death) in light of the quran and sunnah :

Islamic Creed Series 5

From the moment an individual is conceived in his mother’s womb, until his death and beyond, angels play a part in human life. Angels bring forth the soul of the dying and they bring comfort or inflict torment in the grave. An angel will sound the Trumpet on the Last Day, and angels will be present on the Day of Judgment until they accompany people to their ultimate destination in Paradise or Hell.

Almost all human cultures, ancient and modern, have some kind of belief about angels. The pre-Islamic Arabs believed them to be daughters of the Almighty. Some philosophers thought that angels were the stars in the sky. In modern times, there has been a resurgence of interest in angels, and they feature prominently in movies and other forms of popular western culture. But these myths have no role to play in the belief of the Muslim.

Our beliefs are based on the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, which tell us all we need to know about the reality of the unseen, including the world of the angels. In this book, Dr. Umar S. al-Ashqar draws on the sources of Islam to give us a comprehensive picture of which the angels are their role in the universe and their interaction with mankind in this world and the next.

The Fundamentals of Tawheed

£9.00£12.00

The Fundamentals of Tawheed :

Tawheed, the belief in the Oneness of ALLAH, is the core of the Islamic faith. Humans, as the designated vicegerents of ALLAH on earth, have been ordered to put this belief into practice in every aspect of life. Without tawheed, our actions and worship would be rendered null and void.

This is an awful truth, but one that we must realize so that we can correct the basis of what we think, say, and do, in order to receive the hoped-for rewards and to avoid a terrible punishment. Dr. Philips gives us the information necessary to recognize the practices that go against tawheed so that we may change any mistaken patterns of thought or behavior and approach ALLAH in the way that He loves and wants from us.

Exemplary Principles Concerning The Beautiful Names Of Allah

The pristine beliefs of the early Muslims are preserved in this vitally important masterpiece written by one of the most outstanding scholars of our time.

Seven clear principles and their evidences from the Book and the Sunnah guide the reader through the confusion and false claims of the ignorant to the clarity of belief in Allah’s Names accomplished by the righteous early scholars of Islam.

Seven more principles and their evidences follow, giving the reader firm understanding of the correct beliefs about Allah’s Attributes. Four more principles outline the correct approach in studying the related proofs and evidences.

All of this leads the reader into an enthralling series of refutations of the false notions of the Ash’aree sect, a text-by-text breakdown of how and why they went wrong in a careful and precise study of fifteen texts from the Book and the Sunnah. The beliefs of the Ash’aree sect are destroyed and the origins of their deviation are exposed for all to see.

the islamic creed and its history

The islamic creed and its history :

If the Muslim was to read this book ‘The Islamic Creed and Its History’ by the noble Shaykh Dr. Muḥammad ibn ‘Alī al-Jāmī with patience and deliberation, he would never become tired of reading it, and he would learn from it the reality of Islamic monotheism (tawḥīd), and the ideologies of the sects that have falsely ascribed themselves to Islam as well as their dangers and evil effects upon confused intellects and diseased hearts. If the Muslim knew this he would renounce these sects and fight against their ideologies and those who embrace them, and he would know the path of truth and would traverse upon it without oppressing anyone from the Muslims, or other than them because the oppressor’s wrongdoing will only return back to him. In fact, if the Muslim reads this book carefully he will attain much good since it strives to correct the Muslim’s creed and it sincerely attempts to ensure that it will remain correct for the sake of ALLAH. It rectifies what is between him and ALLAH regarding his worship just as it also rectifies what is between him and the people regarding their worldly dealings. It rectifies what is between him and his own soul so he will not oppress it by exposing it to ALLAH’s punishment in the worldly life as well as the hereafter.

About the Author: The noble Shaykh, Dr. Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān said “The Shaykh, Muḥammad Amān as I know him is as follows; the people who are educated and who carry various degrees of higher studies are many. However, very few of them benefit from their own knowledge and benefit others with it. Shaykh Muḥammad Amān al-Jāmī is from those rare examples of scholars who downplays his own level of knowledge, and efforts to benefit the Muslims and direct them through calling to Allah upon foresight throughout his time as a teacher at the University of Medinah, and during his time in the venerated Prophet’s masjid. Additionally he has travelled throughout the Muslim lands abroad as well as the various trips throughout the different regions of the Kingdom to give lessons and lectures, calling to monotheism, spreading the correct creed and directing the youth of this nation towards the methodology of the Pious Predecessors, while also warning them regarding destructive principles and deviant calls. So ALLAH reward him generously for what he knew and acted upon.

Fundamentals of the Salafee Methodology

Fundamentals of the Salafee Methodology

This treatise is taken from a lecture delivered by the great muhaddith of our times explaining the most basic fundamentals of the noble Salafee call. The lecture itself propounds Salafiyyah in a way that can be understood by the layman. A beginner?s tool such as this is currently not available in print in the English language. In addition to being an introductory guide for the beginner, the book also serves as an intermediate manual in terms of the many explanatory notes and additional appendices included within it.

The book begins by giving an overview of the importance and role of at-tasfiyah wat-tarbiyah (purification and education), which sets the stage for the reader to comprehend of the validity of that which is to follow. The author begins by explaining what is ?Salafiyyah? in conventional usage, its well known position towards the bigoted following of madhaahib and the difference between merely affiliating oneself to the Book and the Sunnah; as opposed to actually acting upon that. The author goes onto discuss the obligation of taking the Salaf as an example, categories of the Sunnah and the reality of Salafiyyah. Then this is compared to the present condition of the Muslims along with giving an explanation as to why so much differing and splitting has occurred. Lastly, there occurs a detailed discussion about some of the most prevalent doubts upon Ahlus-Sunnah today, such as those from amongst the Mu?tazilah who deny the khabrul-aahaad (singular narration) and the Ashaa?irah and their likes who attribute tashbeeh (resembling Allaah to His creation) to Ahlus-Sunnah, whilst themselves performing ta?weel (figurative interpretation) and ta?teel (denial) of the Attributes of Allaah. The later part of the book is devoted to a biography of Imaam Muhammad Naasirud-Deen al-Albaanee, his discussion with the head of al- Azhar concerning the issues of taqleed and the madhaahib and an exposition of standard Ash?aree doubts upon Ahlus-Sunnah and their creed. In a time of severe confusion and corruption, this treatise is sure to be a beacon of enlightenment and a pure spring from which all those desiring true guidance can drink.

Means of Standing Firm In Islam

£2.25

Means of Standing Firm In Islam:

Steadfastness in the religion of Allaah is a basic requirement for every sincere Muslim who wants to follow the Straight Path with determination and understanding. The present situation of the societies in which Muslims live, the types of temptation to which they are painfully exposed and the kinds of whims and desires, doubts and confusion which have caused religion to become something strand, so that those who adhere to it are religion is like one who holds on to a burning coal.

Anyone who has a brain will not doubt that Muslims today need the means of steadfastness more than their predecessors among the Salaf did, and that the effort required is greater, because of the corruption of out times, and the scarcity and weakness of brothers and supporters who could help. The Prophet (saw) gave an example of the heart, ‘The heart (qalb) takes its name from its constant changes (taqalluban alteration, variation, ups and downs). The likeness of heart is that a feather at the root of a tree, being turned over and over by the wind.’ As a later poet said, ‘He is only called insaan (man) because of his nasyaan (forgetfulness). And it is only al-qalb (the heart) because it constantly varies (yataqalib).’

Making the one stand firm who is tossed about by the winds of doubt and confusion is a serious matter, which needs tremendous means as benefits the seriousness and difficulty of the task at hand. It is part of Allaah’s mercy towards us that He has shown to us, in His Book and through the words and life of His Prophet (saw) many ways of being steadfast in Islaam.

treasure from the treasures of paradise :

Allah, The Most High, Said, “The men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.” [Al-Ahzab, 35] He also Said, “O you who have believed, remember Allah with much remembrance, And exalt Him morning and afternoon…” [Al-Ahzab, 41] Al-Bukhari recorded a report from AbuMusa al-Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) who narrated that the Messenger of Allah said, “The example of a person who makes dhikr of his Lord and a person who does not, is like that of a living and a dead person.

” Making dhikr (remembrance of Allah) has a lofty place in the Din of Islam and is inherently inscribed in the souls of the believers; for it is from the greatest acts of worship and provides enumerable fruits and benefits in this life and the next.

Dhikr is distinguished with many virtues through its perfect meanings, beautiful phrasings and comprehensiveness that contains depth of meaning and incorporating all types of goodness. Its wordings are concise while reflecting great reward, is easy to remember and pronounce possessing tangible effects on the body and soul. From such great adhkar the Prophet used to consistently make and encourage others regarding it, is the Hawqala, or the saying of ‘La Hawla wa la Quwwata illa Billah’. This remembrance has merits and virtues none but Allah fully encompasses – the meanings and implications of which, lead to certainty and solace through strengthening ones’ faith and connection with Allah.

This special dhikr is of such importance that the author (may Allah preserve him) saw the need to single it out in this short treatise, entitling it, “The Hawqala: Its meanings, virtues, and creedal implications”. It is hoped Muslims will focus their efforts in meaningfully utilising this phrase and making it a regular feature of their every day lives, along with other types of remembrances of Allah.

The Creed of Ibn Abi Zayd Al-Qayrawani :

The Creed Of Ibn Abi Zayd Al-Qayrawani By Imaam Abu Muhammad Abdullah Ibn Abi Zayd Al Qayrawani The author was asked to write a short treatise on the fundamentals of belief and creed of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah. This work was written in response to that request, wherein the author explains the obligatory aspects of Islam, those that should be pronounced by the tongue, believed in the heart, acted upon the limbs and acts of Sunnah related to the foundations of faith. – This detailed work covers many aspects of faith, jurisprudence and character. It commences with belief in Allah, His Names and Attributes and the applied principles in understanding them. It also discusses the Quran, seeing Allah, punishment of the grave and events that will occur therein, the Divine Decree, companions of Allah’s messenger and other important aspects of faith. He calls to following the way of the Salaf and adhering to the knowledge and guidance they left for the community. – Creed is not just mere code of belief but it has a practical role, which translates into qualities, characteristics and actions that every Muslim must adhere to and accompany. When writing this tract the author has kept the young and mature in mind, hence keeping the work very simple to read and understand – placing it ideally as an educational textbook. Knowing the creed of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah is compulsory for every Muslim, learning and memorising it is also an important aspect of this pristine faith. – Imam Ibn Abi Zayd Al-Qayrawani was a leading imam and an Islamic scholar from North Africa. He was an exegete and a jurist who was known as ‘little Malik’ because of his vast knowledge and expertise in the Maliki school of fiqh. He authored over thirty works on various Islamic disciplines. Imam al-Dhahabi said of him, “He, may Allah have mercy on him, was upon the way of the pious predecessors concerning the fundamentals of Islam”. He was very pious, deeply religious and steadfast in his adherence to the Sunnah.

Before you Pray By Anas Al Gawz

£1.50

The Book Of Prayer: Salaat (Prayer) is one of the main obligations which Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) has ordained on His servants. It is the first act of worship decreed on the Muslim Nation (Ummah) by Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) and was ordained on the night of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) ascension to the seven heavens. It is the second of the five pillars of Islam after the proclamation of the “Shahada” (the words of witness).

We are presenting you a book which is, though, very small in size but is very big in its concept. Salat is the first obligation upon a Muslim after his testification of Allah‘s Oneness and Muhammad‘s (peace be upon him Messengership. Salat is the contentment of the heart of a Muslim and the eminence of a Believer. Salat is much more emphasized in Qur‘an than any other act.

You may have seen many books on Salat but this small book, which has a specific mention in relation with the matters before the Salat, is very useful and effective. The original book is in Arabic and is written by our friend captain Pilot Anas bin Abdul-Hameed Al-Gawz. More than 30,000 copies of this book have reached in the hands of the people, who appreciated it very much. The English translation of this book has been made by Mr. Abdul Karim Shah, former translator of Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh, for which I am thankful to him.

Dar-us-Salam feels great pleasure and honour in publishing the book according to its high traditions and standards. I am specially thankful to Mr. Shakil Ahmed As- Salafi, Hafiz Abdul Matin Rashid, Mr. Azmat Ullah, and Mr. Saeed-ud-Din for the special tasks of composing, proof reading and checking it with the original Arabic book. Now this beautiful and valuable present is in your hands, please read it and pray for us all.

MISKAT AL-MASABIH: THE NICHE OF LAMPS (DKI)

£59.99

The Complete Set of the Celebrated and Much Studied Collection Of Hadith, Arabic Text with English Translation

Complete English Translation of the Mishkat al Masabih which surpasses other currently available translation such as the well known  AL HADITH: English Translation & Commentary Mishkat ul Masabih By Maulana Fazlul Karim and  The Partial Translation  Mishkat-ul-Masabih: Arabic- English, in 3 Volumes By Abdul Hamid Siddiqui .

The Mishkat has enjoyed wide popularity in the world of Islamic learning Since 516 AH when it was first compiled by Waliuddin Abu Abdullah Mahmud Al-Tabrizi.

Mishkat al-Masabih which means  A Niche for Lamps is an expanded version of  Masabih al-Sunnah by Abu Muammad ibn Abdullah   Khatib Al-Tabrizi (d. 741H) who was known as Muhyi As-Sunnah (Reviver of the Sunnah). Al-Tabrizi added to it the chains of transmission, the narrators and the authenticity of the Hadith. Thus making it  more beneficial to those not having an advanced knowledge of the science of hadith.

The Collection is divided into twenty-nine books (kutub) and each book is divided into several chapters (abwab). Thereafter each chapter is further divided into three sections (fasl).

The Mishkat has enjoyed wide popularity in the world of Islamic learning Since 516 AH when it was first compiled by  Al-Tabrizi. Most of the Hadith are from the Sahih Sitta. (the six Authentic Hadith Books).

Waliuddin Abu Abdullah Mahmud Al-Tabrizi was a renown muhaddith (scholar of Hadith) of his time. He was well-versed in the intricacies of the Arabic language and rhetorics. It is unfortunate, however, that not much is known about his life. Al-Tabrizi is to be commanded for successfully improving upon Al-Baghawi’s Masabih al-Sunnah.

If you want just only one Collection of Hadith, then this must the one.

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result. TM Qur’an 4:59

and to make it a rule that these forty hadith be [classified as] sound and that the majority of them be in the Sahihs of Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

Every person wishing to attain the Hereafter should know these hadith because of the important matters they contain and the directions they give in respect of all forms of obedience, this being obvious to anyone who has reflected upon it. A lot of care has been taken in rendering these Ahadith into a clear and simple style of modern English.

English Translation Of Sahih Muslim (7 Volumes ) (Darussalam)

£105.00

Sahih Muslim, the most authentic book of Hadith after Sahih al Bukhari contains 7,563 Ahadith. It has been agreed by the Muslim Scholars that all of the Ahadith in Sahih Muslim are authentic. Thus, the benefit of publishing the full version of Sahih Muslim in the English language with excellent presentation was realized by Darussalam. A lot of care has been taken in rendering these Ahadith into a clear and simple style of modern English.

This excellent-quality version of Sahih Muslim has been verified by Dar-us-Salam Publications widely. Its translation has been checked many a times in order to avoid mistranslating and misinterpreting of ahadith which is been done by the recent translators due to their lack of understanding of the Arabic language or to rush the product in the markets. Unlike other publishers which keep you thinking about the meaning of ahadith, the words which are not clear have been explained in the brackets. In case where the term cannot be explained in the brackets, there are footnotes at the bottom of the page. This version of Dar-us-Salam is good in the sense that it starts off by drawing a life sketch of Imam Muslim and then goes on with the introduction of Sahih Muslim by Imam Muslim himself in which he explains the points of differences between different narrators and level of trustworthiness.

In this version the text is in Arabic side by side so you have access to both English and Arabic at the same time which makes it different from other publishers. Also, the book regarding reporting from the trustworthy narrators have been placed first while other books follow it. Moreover, the Arabic text contains all the narrators while the English only mentions the champion. Lastly, keeping in mind the tradition of high quality printing, this version of Sahih Muslim by Dar-us-Salam Publications is second to none other and made to last a long time, Insha Allah.

About Sahih Muslim Book of Hadith

The collections of Bukhari and Muslim from the authentic ahadith are outstanding in respect to both chain of transmissions and the texts as well as their general utility in which they gave guidance in almost all walks of life. The Hadith scholars admired and acclaimed these collections so much that they themselves produced works containing the same Ahadith as found in the collection of both Bukhari and Muslim but with their own independent chains which consists of a lesser # of sub-narrators and called their works Mustakhraj.

Imam Muslim is one of the foremost preservers of ahadith of the Prophet. According to majority of scholars, his book comes second only to Sahih al Bukhari in terms of authenticity. According to some Hadith scholars it is considered to be better than Sahih Bukhari in terms of organization and repetition. It is the second in the collection of 6 books called “Sihah Sittah” or “6 most authentic books”. Painstaking efforts were been taken by Imam Muslim in preserving the words/actions/sayings & approvals of the Prophet. He has mostly used 4-5 narrators in the chain of transmission although there are a couple of hadith containing 3 narrators. Imam Muslim was a very good student of Imam Bukhari and some of his Shuyukhs, although he did not narrate from Imam Bukhari too much, thus reducing the # of narrators.
