Principles in Dealing with the Scholars Shaykh Ibrahim Al-Mazrui
The people in terms of their view of the scholars are into different categories:
People who view the scholars like everyone else, and that they don’t have any value or status, so (these people) are astray, and lead others astray, and they have divided their religion into groups and parties.
Other people who have sanctified the scholars, raised them above their stature and blindly follow them in the absolute sense, while rejecting the legislative text.
Others who see that the scholars have a status and value, but they don’t deal with them in the correct manner, in which the righteous predecessors were upon.
People who are upon guidance and uprightness. They know the status of the scholars and they deal with them in the correct legislative manner and they follow the way of their righteous predecessors in dealing with the scholar as will be addressed.
